| Modified Beogam pattern recon uniform top | |

| Description | Wartime modified leopard Pattern camouflage uniform top. The garment was purchased from a Special Forces veteran who served with a early 5th Special Forces Group team who were TDY to Vietnam from Fort Bragg in 1964-1965. The veteran had taken two uniforms and had a tailor use one of the garments to add material on each side expanding the chest to a 42" top and added a 2 inch piece to the garments base length. The sleeves were also modified adding several inches to the length for a total of 20 inches from the cuff to th arm pit and a pin pocket to the left arm. Another modification was that the veteran had added YKK zippers to the chest pockets allowing access while wearing his LBE |

| Description | This scarf belong to Raymond Slade who had 1 tour with White star laos and 2 tours at CCN 1967-1968 & 1969-1970.
During 1967 he assisted in the recruitment and training of the BRU tribesman for FOB3 and ran recon as 1-2 and 1-1 out of Khe Sahn until medevaced. During his second tour in 1970, he was the 1-0 of RT Intruder. Also letter of documentation from Jason hardy @ the dog tag |

This pattern, usually refered to as "Ranger" pattern appeared in the mid-1960s, and by 1975 was the most common standard issue camouflage in use by the Republic of Vietnam Armed Forces. As years passed, this pattern was seen more frequently in use by Airborne, regular army, and Marine units as well as others.
